Montrose Mortgage Edmonton was formed in 1996. The office is comprised of seven loan originators and a support staff of one. The major focus of the Edmonton office is securing mortgage financing and providing value added services for our borrowers.

The Key People are:

Rick Creighton, CRF- Principal-Broker co-founded the Edmonton Office in 1996. He has 30 years of experience centered on the origination and underwriting of all types of income producing real estate both as a senior executive of a direct lender as well as a principal in mortgage brokerage.

Rick has also, in years previous, acted as a consultant to the Government of Alberta on the preparation and sale of real estate and mortgage assets. In addition, Rick holds a CRF designation (Certified in Real Estate Finance) through the Real Estate Institute of Canada and is also active as an instructor, teaching Real Estate Financing and Mortgages as well as Mortgage Brokerage for both the Alberta Real Estate Association and Edmonton Real Estate Board.

Jan Willey Principal Associate co-founded the Edmonton Office in 1996. He has been in the mortgage industry for 33 years, has had direct lending experience with Financial Institutions, and has been actively involved both in writing, as well as teaching, mortgage financing courses for the Alberta Mortgage Brokerage Association, Real Estate Training Institute, Edmonton Real Estate Board, University of Alberta, CAAMP, and NAIT. In 2004,

Jan was awarded the "Award of Excellence" by the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association.

Bob Kuzyk joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in December 2003. He has been in the mortgage industry for the past 32 years, during which time he has experienced all facets of the industry (Origination, Underwriting, Administration and Default Management).

Bob spent 15 years with a major Canadian life assurance company managing its mortgage office in Edmonton.

Don Loughlin joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in 1998 after graduating from NAIT's Business Program, majoring in Marketing.

Don is well established in the commercial mortgage industry, focusing on the origination and underwriting of various types of commercial income producing properties, including multi-family, industrial and commercial.

Ron Plant joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in 2000 after several years in the financial services industry and has since been involved in a wide range of mortgage financings.

Ron also served on the board of directors for the Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association from 2003 - 2005.

Keith Shack, Bachelor of Management joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in May 2002 shortly after graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management Degree (major in Finance).

Focusing his attention on origination and mortgage underwriting services in the Edmonton office, Keith has worked on all property types including office, retail, industrial, apartment properties, construction financing, land acquisition, and all types of secondary financing.

George Hilton joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in December 2003. He has 35 years experience in the mortgage industry and has served in various management and origination roles with mortgage insurance and direct lending institutions.

Aurora Kehoe joined Montrose Mortgage Edmonton in August 1999. She rounds out the complement of the Edmonton Office.

Aurora joined Montrose after many years in the mortgage industry, with both trust and life companies, and is in charge of all administrative/accounting functions for the branch.
