Steve McEwen, B.E.S. (Hons.), FSU Graduate Certificate – Managing Partner established the Montrose Ottawa office in 1999 and has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and mortgage lending. Prior to Montrose, Steve held real estate management positions with a U.S. based life insurance company and an international public accounting firm. Steve is a licensed mortgage broker under the Ontario Mortgage Brokers, Lenders and Administrators Act. Steve is experienced in construction, bridge and permanent mortgage finance secured by multi-family, retirement, office, industrial, retail, hospitality and P3 projects. |

James Scarrow, B. Comm. (Hons.) – Partner joined Montrose in 1997, moving from the Winnipeg head office to the Ottawa
office in 1999. James primarily focuses on the underwriting and closing of the Ottawa-originated loans. James has experience in many different debt structures, including construction, take out,
mezzanine and bridge financing, in all sectors of the institutional real estate industry. |

David Arntfield - Partner brings to Montrose over 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience. Prior to joining Montrose, David was Director, Real Estate for a major bank. Before that he held numerous senior positions in both banks and trust companies, most recently Vice President, Real Estate Lending for National Trust. Dave brings a wide range of real estate expertise to Montrose. Along with all aspects of income property term lending, Dave has vast experience in project finance. This includes commercial and retail construction lending plus land development, single family builders, high rise condominiums and rental projects. |
